THINKER. DESIGNER. INNOVATOR. RALLY-ER.
I thrive in leading teams to find clarity and bold paths forward in moments of chaos.
I have spent over twenty years delivering digital products at the intersection of design and technology—and throwing us humans right in the center. I have been part of building creative studios for R/GA and mentoring teams to win new accounts and make award-winning work.
I have led creative product teams in retail innovation for Nike and Abercrombie & Fitch, as well as the customer experience beta for XFinity Mobile. I helped a stigma-plagued Cadillac make its way into an XBOX racing game and rebuild a digital ecosystem for Grey Goose Vodka. Most recently, I directed product design at Tonal, striving to make members the strongest versions of themselves.
I believe tight-knit teams built on trust and diversity are the unlock for exciting new solutions—every member of a team has something to teach and something to learn. I currently bring that ethos to the creative agency Elephant, where I lead our product design discipline.
I grew up outside Detroit on a healthy diet of sports, cars, and Motown Records, I spent the first half of my life going to Old Tiger Stadium and Joe Louis Arena.
I graduated from the University of Michigan's School of Art and Design with a duel degree in graphic design and industrial design. After a few years applying my traditional design degree at an innovation design shop in Ann Arbor, I moved to Chicago and worked at "big agencies" for over ten years. Next, I headed west to Portland, OR—establishing and growing the R/GA studio before spending five years inside Nike's innovation lab.
I now explore southern California with Orange County as home base. I love cooking, running, skiing big mountains, and making stuff with my hands (anything, really).
